O.J. Simpson, nicknamed The Juice, is a former National Football League running back, broadcaster, actor, advertising spokesman, and convicted armed robber and kidnapper. Once a popular figure with the U.S. public, he is most well known today for his trial and acquittal for the murders of his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. O.J. Simpson was freed from prison after 9 years this Sunday in a dead-of-night release, this was done to avoid media attention, however now that the news is out many sources are quick to act. Fox news made a news post on Sunday explaining how O.J. Simpson was allowed to leave on parole, and how no one knows where he is going. However with speculation that O.J. Simpson would be leaving for Florida, Florida Department of Corrections attorney general says we don't want him, "The specter of his residing in comfort in Florida should not be an option. "Our state should not become a country club for this convicted criminal."
With no one but O.J Simpson knowing where he will go next, Fox News waits for more speculation and ideas on where he may appear The authors of the post seem to be relying on pathos, by reminding everyone of the murders, the court trial, and the robbery. They move and stir emotions into people that in my option make them feel scared. Using words such as "The Juice is on the loose" tends to make people that the O.J will return to his prior ways and that he is loose from prison. This I feel is mainly directed at people in Florida or LA, due to them mentioning multiple times that he may be on his way there. However this channel also is for the entire U.S thus they include information for them as well. The reason this post in happening is O.J being released from prison on parole, any other news sources also made posts about this big event.
